Student Leadership

We believe in nurturing leadership qualities in our students from a young age. Our Student Leadership Program offers various opportunities for students to develop their leadership skills, contribute to the school community, and become positive role models for their peers.

Student representative council (SRC)

The Student Representative Council (SRC) at Plympton Primary School is the voice of the student body. Comprised of elected representatives from each class, the SRC serves as a platform for students to voice their ideas, concerns, and suggestions to improve our school environment. Members of the SRC actively participate in decision-making processes, organise events, and initiate projects that benefit the entire school community.

House Captains

The House Captains play a pivotal role in fostering a sense of belonging and friendly competition within our school community. Each student is assigned to one of our four houses – Barker, Hindmarsh, Light and Sturt, and House Captains are responsible for leading their respective houses throughout the year.

Ambassadors

Our Ambassadors are selected based on their skills, leadership potential, and commitment to serving others. They represent our school with pride and enthusiasm, acting as role models for their peers and ambassadors of our school’s values.

Whether it’s organising events, demonstrating technical ability, hosting school events or welcoming visitors, our Ambassadors embody our school’s CHERRY values.

We recognise that every student has the potential to become a leader in their own right. Through our Student Leadership Program, we provide a supportive environment where students can develop essential skills, embrace leadership opportunities, and make a positive impact on the world around them.
