Our
Welcome to Plympton Primary School. Your decision to enrol your child with us is an opportunity to access a high quality education with priorities for high academic achievement, responsible citizenship and healthy personal identity.
We are located halfway between the city of Adelaide and Glenelg in the south western suburb of Plympton. We cater for 5 – 12 year-olds (reception to year 6) in an inclusive and multicultural environment with high expectations for all. Approximately 280 students currently attend our school.
The school neighbourhood is a harmonious community who recognise and appreciate the shared values of culturally and linguistically diverse families. This unity is reflected in the commitment to support their children to achieve, share and contribute to school life.

In 2023, Tammy commenced her journey at Plympton Primary School, marking her eighth year in school leadership. Prior to her tenure at Plympton, she has held various leadership roles, including Deputy Principal, Principal, and Principal Consultant over the previous seven years. Tammy firmly believes that fostering strong values, nurturing positive relationships, and fostering transparent communication are pivotal in creating an environment where educators can flourish and students can thrive.
With a deep understanding of evidence-based teaching methods and a passion for school improvement, Tammy is committed to collaborating closely with all staff to enhance student learning, engagement, and achievement throughout the entire school community. This involves providing support to teaching and support staff in their efforts to create optimal learning environments and opportunities for all learners.
